Just like the weather, my blog seemed to went through a ice age… Can’t believe I haven’t post anything for so long!! This freezing weather seems to be a global thing, even here in sub-tropical Taiwan, we are having some freezing temperature!! I miss the sun!!!
Maybe it’s because of this gloomy weather, my needle was slow. It took me a while but I finally finished the third piece of the County Fair series~ This time is the pig!! And what a coincidence that it seems to be finished just in time for Valentine’s Day~
Pattern: The Prairie Schooler “County Fair I – Pig”
Thread: DMC Cotton Thread
Fabric: 28ct Irish Linen in Color Tea
Stitched Size: 5” x 5”
Completion Date: 02-14-2014
Here are all three of them together. Now the next step is to put them all together as a wall hanging. I’ll have some calculation and measurement to do…
This year’s Valentine’s Day is also the Lantern Festival, which is the last day of the fifteen day Chinese New Year celebration. It is a big thing in the Chinese culture, there are celebrations and festivals with lanterns everywhere in Taiwan. Hubby and I celebrated Valentine’s Day and Lantern Festival together by going to the Lantern Fest in Taichung. Since it is the year of horse, horse themed lanterns were the stars of the show. It was magnificent!!!
May you all have a wonderful year of horse!!!!
Welcome back to blogging.
