Johanna’s Blanket

Thanks for all your lovely comments about my wall hanging finish. It seems like many of you actually liked the knitting needle dowel, so I’m keeping it as is. Just like you guys said, it is pretty unique~ I guess this is another way to make use of the knitting needle, since I do not know how to knit!!! LOL!!!

My friend’s daughter Johanna turned one last week. I decided to make a blanket for her at the very last minute!!! Still can’t believe I finished this one in two afternoons!!!

Pattern: Something I made up myself
Fabric: Assorted fabrics found in store
Size: 36” x 41”
Beginning Date: 05-24-2010
Completion Date: 05-25-2010

I had some flannel fabrics perfect for a little girl, so I started to put them together. Because I was short on time, I made up a simple pattern for it.

I hand quilted the middle design, almost thought I couldn’t make it!!!

Then I took a piece of scrape fabric and tied it up~ I think it looked pretty cute!!!!

Sorry about the dark photos. I only had a couple minutes to take a few shots before running out the door. I enjoyed making this one, and I think my friend liked it, too~
