… that I have been derailed from stitching a little bit. With all the rain we had here, I was housebound for a whole week, which means lots of time to stitch, right? Well, that was what I thought so, too. But I did something bad… I pulled out a box of puzzle I purchased like 5 years ago but never been opened, and thought it would help DH and I kill some time while we were trapped in the house.
I never knew puzzles can be this additive!!!!! Basically DH only really worked on it with me the first day, then it was pretty much all me!! I just couldn’t pull myself away from it!!!! The thrill of putting each tiny piece into its place just totally captivated me!!! I did try to put it down and go do some stitching, but then I would keep thinking about the puzzle and finally just abandoned my stitching all together… I know!! I’m soooo bad!!!!
And then came the weekend, and I felt so guilty to have abandoned my stitching, so I worked on it during the weekend trying to catch up a little bit – with occasional breaks with puzzle solving, of course!! So here it is, my progress on Friendship Sampler so far. Have no fear, people, the puzzle is almost done, so there will be no distractions for me after that!!!! (I hope…)
I would also like to thank everyone for the kind comments regarding my “Angels Sang” piece and the pillow cases. They mean a world to me. Happy stitching~
I LOVE friendship sampler-it's looking just beautiful :)

Both are great, Theresa! We used to do puzzles a lot as a family when my boys were little--it was great "quality time!"
ReplyDeleteTheresa, your sampler is so beautiful!!!
ReplyDeletePuzzles ARE addictive aren't they?! I almost bought some after Christmas, and then stopped because there's so many projects I want to stitch/knit, lol!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your friendship samplers...the colors are gorgeous!
The Friendship Sampler is looking so pretty. I may have to add that one to my wish list also. (my list is growing daily!). I too am a puzzler; they are very addictive!!!
ReplyDeleteYour Friendship Sampler is coming along so nicely! I haven't done a puzzle in a long time but they are fun. :)
ReplyDeleteThe puzzle looks like fun! I don't have a surface big enough to work puzzles (my computer equipment takes up my kitchen table, and I eat from a TV tray). Your sampler is beautifully blue - my favorite color!
ReplyDeleteEverything here suffers if I pull out a jigsaw puzzle! I have a stack of brand-new ones in the basement just waiting!
ReplyDeleteFS looks fantastic!
*Squeal* I love puzzles!!! It looks like so much fun! I know what you mean about not being able to tear yourself away from it. ]I remember finishing one and placing it ontop of my table, making a mental note to modgepodge it later. Well.. my dad's friend came along and picked up the poster that I put the puzzle on top of and the puzzle pieces scattered to bits. -.- I was really sad.
ReplyDeleteYour friendship sampler looks lovely!
Oh Theresa, I know just how addicting puzzles can be. I just don't start one unless I know I can afford to do nothing else until it's finished! Don't feel guilty, just enjoy it. Love your friendship sampler!
