A Cheerful Finish!!!

To tell you the truth, when I first pulled these colors together, I had my doubts. The original silk threads look more subtle. Will this be too bright?

As it turns out, it's perfect! This unusual color combination is so bright and cheerful. I really like the look! Maybe it is the bright orange and blue, somehow it gives out a southwestern feel~

Pattern: Blackbird Designs “Birds of a Feather”
Thread: DMC Cotton Thread
Fabric: 32ct Belfest Linen in color Country Mocha
Stitched Size: 10.5” x 12”
Completion Date: 06-07-2017

I stitched 2 over 2 in stead of 1 over 2 as indicated on the instructions, cause I like the plump look of stitches. I also love the different flowers on the border, they are so cute!!

The chain stitch around one of the flowers is also an unexpected touch. I kept it as the last thing to do and almost forgot about it!! Caught it at the very last moment, and I'm glad that I did~

Moving on to the next project!! What should I do? I think there is a quilt awaiting~ Thanks for visiting~
