Happy Holidays~

OMG!! Christmas is almost here already?! I’m not ready yet!!! In fact, I just finished moving this past weekend, so the only Christmas decoration I will have this year is probably just a wreath on our door… Well, it’s the spirit that counts, right?

I did do a little Christmas stitching, though~ I stitched this freebie design by Zinaida on my flight to and from Boston. I knew I had to stitch this one when I saw it on Zinaida’s blog.

And of course I had to add jingle bells on it~ I love jungle bells!!

I did had someone in mind when I stitched this. My dear friend Phoebe is moving back to Taiwan after Christmas, and I thought of making something for her. Because of her, 2009 is such a productive and wonderful year to me. I learned so much from her, and I will miss her dearly.

Coincidentally, she also made something for me!!! When I saw this lovely gift, I almost burst into tears!!! Not only because it is such an honor to have something made by her, but also the words and thoughtfulness she put into this tool bag. I will cherish this forever, and will often remember her when I see it!!

Christmas is near, may you all have a very merry holiday season!!!!!

  16. What a lovely stocking and I love jingle bells too! Great touch...we had one of our girls in our stitchy group leave us after God knows how many years to move to Montana and she is so missed. She was a hoot. We all made something and made her a stitchy bag for a so long gift. It's so hard to see them go after years of friendship.
