Three Boys and A Girl

Maybe it was something in the water, or maybe it’s simply that time of my life, my friends seems to be having babies all together~~ So when I saw there were a sale on flannel fabrics at JoAnn’s a few weeks ago, I stocked up to make some baby blankets. I found some simple tutorials on Sew Much Ado and decided to try them out. A few afternoons later, these were what they became.

Pattern: Sew Much Ado "Ric Rac Receiving Blanket
& "Rag Edge Receiving Blanket
Size: 40” x 40”
Completion Date: 05-13-2011

First there was a girl. I used the Rag Edge Receiving Blanket tutorial for this one. I love the idea of the frayed edge getting better and better with each wash. It felt like the blanket is “growing” with the baby.

Then there were three boys. I decided to try out the Ric Rac Receiving Blanket tutorial this time.

I just love the fabrics of these blankets!!!! One side flannel the other just regular cotton. The ric rac edge is just so cute on them!!!

All these blankets are really simple to make, each one only took me a couple of hours from start to finish. They are quite addictive, too!!! And the best part is, I know they will be in good use!!!

By the way, the Dove couple are back for round 2, taking over my balcony again!! I think they are the same ones. This time they had two eggs!!!

Told you there must be something in the water!!!! ^^

Cardinal Winter

Wow!! This is a first!! I can’t believe I finished this ornament stitch two weeks before the end of the month!!! The soap opera I’ve been watching might have something to do with it (since I always keep my hands busy while watching TV), but I think the main reason was I love this design so much that I just couldn’t put it down!!!

With all the LHN ornaments that came out so far, I think this one is my favorite!!! I LOVE the red cardinals and the cute bunnies~~

Easy Peasy Beautiful Bobbies~

A few weeks ago, I came across this awesome tutorial by Sew Much Ado. I immediately fell in love with these beautiful Brocco Bobbies and couldn’t wait to try making them.  It’s amazing how easy this project was, a few buttons and some scrape fabrics later, my bobbies were born. Such instant gratification~~

While I was at it, I remembered seeing some button bobbies on Etsy, so I thought I would make some of those as well. These are really a piece of cake, just get one of those button making kits and a hot glue gun, and you are done!!!! But aren’t they adorable?!

So if you would like some instant gratification, you should really give these a try!!! I have more ideas in mind already, and would definitely make more of these easy peasy beautiful bobbies~~
