Merry Christmas~~

One thing I love about Christmas is all the Christmas lights people put up during this time. Living in an apartment, I couldn’t do too much, so I enjoy walking in the neighborhood and admire others’ work.

This one took me a little bit to get it, but I thought it was quite funny~~

Hello World!!!

Can’t believe it was the beginning of December since I last post and now we are near the end!!! Sorry to be absent for so long. I have been busy setting the house up and getting ready for the holidays. I only have a little time to stitch these past few weeks, so not a whole lot to show. Nonetheless, here is what I have done with my tumbler quilt so far. I’ve only managed to finish 1/4 of the quilting, and still have ways to go!!!! I’m enjoying every second I’m having with it, though~~ It is a joy to see it grow!!!

Sorry about the grim photo, we have been raining non-stop for the past few days now, and there will be more to come…. I long to see the sun soon!!!!!

Although I have not done any Christmas stitching this year, I have been enjoying all the beautiful works that each and every one of you have done out there!!! May your holidays be filled with peace and joy!!!!

Back Online!!

I’m finally back online!!! After 10 days without internet, I have so much blog reading waiting for me to catch up!!! It felt so good to be connected to the world again~~

So how was everyone’s Thanksgiving holiday? DH and I went to Yosemite National Park and it was awesome!!!! I knew there might be snow but I didn’t expect it being covered!! It turned out that there were a storm before we arrived and another on the day we were leaving!!! We got a real taste of winter alright!!

Driving in that kind of condition was really a big challenge. It was also our first time driving with snow chains!! We skit and slid and slipped on our way down and were both exhausted when we got home from our 9-hour drive, but the scenery was so worth it!!

We were very fortunate to have great weather on the first couple of days we were there, although many trails and roads were closed for the season, we still managed to do some short hikes visiting the waterfalls.

It’s amazing how fast weather could change. This photo below was taken on our last day in Yosemite, and that is not a black and white photo!!!

We had such a great time at Yosemite!! I’m so glad that I didn’t back out of it because of our move. I know it has been a while since I show any stitching progress. Well, there is not much of that going on right now. I was so busy during the day that I basically collapsed into bed every night. Hopefully I’ll be able to get back into my daily routine soon!!!
